The story behind the performance
O mio babbino caro
O mio babbino caro is one of the most famous soprano arias from Gianni Schicchi a Puccini Opera. It was the first ever operatic piece I learned, and this video is the first time I ever performed it live.
I found a soloist gig a the West End Lounge in NYC and I sent in an audition tape. I found out in January that I had gotten accepted and I was offered a spot in February, which I gladly took.

I put all the energy I had into the songs I chose to sing! My mom got up and accompanied me on the the last song, which she had written. I had tears in my eyes, as the song is called When You Touch a Dream. My little 17 year old dreams really had been touched that night.
